Our story...
Muntsy’s is a day service for adults with learning disabilities or additional support needs who wish to develop their independence.
Set up in 2007, Muntsy’s was the first independent day service in the area and has steadily grown running community groups designed to meet the needs and aspirations of its members. Groups are delivered in Dorchester, Portland, and Weymouth.
Activities are run and supported by a team of committed and dedicated professionals who bring a wealth of experience, qualities, skills and talent from the arts, business, care, industry, and education sectors. The core team comes from an educational setting and have many years of experience in teaching and learning in the Special Educational Needs field.

Muntsy's work in partnership with local specialist teams, other day service providers, parents, carers, workplace providers, artists, musicians and other professionals involved in the group members' support network.
Our teamwork with people to identify appropriate, realistic and achievable targets and to explore ways to enable them to work towards achieving their desired outcomes. We have a desire to see all our group members do well and consistently have the pleasure of seeing our people succeed.
A flexible programme of learning is tailored to each individual group member and provides opportunities to experience a range of activities and take risks in a safe and secure environment. We continually monitor individual progress which is paramount to ensuring personal growth.
Group members are at the very heart of everything that Muntsys provides and everybody is encouraged to take an active role in the planning of their programmes and the development of the service. At the end of the day, we are a team and we work together to make Muntsy's a special place for each one of our outstanding individuals.
